Arbé concentrates mainly on large-scale projects, with a high level of know-how and expertise. The company has built some of the largest buildings in New Caledonia.

The company’s human and material resources enable it to respond to the most ambitious projects, while respecting deadlines, safety regulations and the environment.

Arbé handles the construction of all types of buildings:

• Industrial buildings: docks, shops
• Office buildings
• Housing
• Hotel complexes
• Public facilities: hospitals, schools, administrative buildings, sports facilities, etc.

These projects can be carried out on a general contracting basis (all trades) or in separate lots (shell work only), depending on the client’s requirements.

Industrial buildings : commercial premises and parking lots

Arbé has demonstrated its expertise by actively participating in the realization of major projects in the shopping center sector.

In recent years, our teams have led several large-scale initiatives in the Greater Nouméa region. These include the successful completion of the Dumbéa Mall shopping complex in 2017, Les Jardins d’Apogoti in 2020 and, more recently, the Hyper U NOVA shopping center in Païta.

Thanks to the efficient collaboration of our teams, we also take responsibility for the foundations of such structures, which can prove complex.

In partnership with NC Préfa (a production unit specializing in reinforcement and prefabrication), we offer solutions incorporating prestressed beams and precast slabs, enabling us to considerably optimize the lead time for this type of structure.

Industrial buildings : Docks and logistics platforms

Recently, Arbé has broadened its scope of activity to include the construction of logistics warehouses, mechanical workshops and factories.

These projects can be undertaken independently or as part of a general contract.

The CALTRAC dock in Païta illustrates our ability to carry out large-scale projects as a general contractor.

In recent years, Arbé has specialized in the construction of all-concrete frameworks. This method, combined with the installation of prefabricated elements, enables us to rapidly build high-rise structures with a high-quality finish.

Goodman Fielder’s La Coulée plant is the first example of an all-concrete structure with prefabricated, encased columns.

Office buildings

Arbé also offers its services for the design and construction of office buildings.

Thanks to our state-of-the-art equipment and fleet of cranes, we are able to offer innovative solutions and shorter lead times for this type of project, making extensive use of prefabricated elements.

We have already completed several thousand square meters in the Greater Nouméa region. Our experienced and highly qualified teams guarantee the quality of our achievements in this field.

• R+4 office building for Arbe Promotion, Koutio (7,400 m²)
• Le Lys Rouge” office building, Nouméa (20,600 m²)

Housing

We have long specialized in real estate operations for private and public developers and social housing organizations.

Our organizational structure, based on tried-and-tested methods and modern equipment, enables us to take on a wide range of projects, from apartment blocks to high-rise buildings.

We have erected a significant number of shell housing units in Noumea and the greater Noumea region. The pinnacle of our activity remains the two PACIFIQUE ARCADE towers. These 18-storey towers, located at the entrance to the city, illustrate our regional expertise.

Our other projects, although smaller in scale, demonstrate our ability to meet construction challenges ranging from the simplest to the most complex.

• Social housing in Dumbéa Sur Mer: Résidence M’Ba and Résidence Cloezia
• Social housing in the Dumbéa ZAC: Tanima, Takutéa 2, Martawi …
• Intermediate housing: Résidence Bellevue in Magenta, Résidence Alcyone in Koutio, Le Lys Rouge in the town center with underground parking below sea level, etc.
• Luxury accommodation: Résidence Le Belza on the hillside bay of the orphanage, Résidence Eden Rock…

Hotels

We also put our skills and technical expertise to work on hotel complexes throughout the Grande Terre region.

Arbé’s two major hotel complex projects are :

• The RAMADA PLAZA complex in Nouméa, with its two towers and panoramic revolving restaurant on the top floor.
• The SHERATON 4* hotel in Bourail, for which Arbé built the shell of 17 collective buildings, the general services and the 850 m² ovoid swimming pool.
  These projects highlight Arbé’s ability to deliver this type of project in terms of quality and on-time delivery.

 

 

 

Public facilities

Arbé has been involved in a number of hospital and school projects in the region:

• Administrative buildings such as the Joint Command Center (EMIA)
• Various secondary schools, such as the Collège de Kaméré and the Lycée du Mont-Dore
• Sports facilities
• Gaston Bourret Hospital’s P emergency building, etc.

However, the most important project is the construction of the Koutio Médipôle. For this project, in co-contract with Vinci construction France, we carried out 50% of the structural work.

The Médipôle also enabled us to develop and deepen our working methods:

• Carnet de rotation de voiles
• Column and beam rotation notebook
• Floor rotation and shoring notebook
• Task interlocking diagrams
• Weekly crane schedule distributed on site
• Investment in time-saving equipment on site: balcony formwork table, high-rise shoring tower, etc.
